Helen Kaiser was hired in fall 1964, and was assigned to work with the president and his staff. During her second year at OCC, she was named secretary of the Board and became an officer of the College. Some of her responsibilities included typing Board agendas and taking minutes. Before her retirement she was instrumental in the establishment of OCC's first Archives.

Abstract
David W. Hackett served on the Oakland Community College Board of Trustees from 1964 until 1994. This collection is a reflection of his time on the Board and documents his activities as a Trustee, his involvement in SEMCOG, the State Board for Public Community Colleges, as well as portions of his personal life and life before OCC.
