Abstract
The Lori A. Przymusinski Papers is a collection of work reflecting the last years of her career at Oakland Community College.
Lori A. Przymusinski first became interested in the nursing profession while caring for her mother, Barbara Yarema, during a prolonged illness. She entered Oakland Community College as a non-traditional student, and earned her Associate in Applied Science in Nursing in 1990. She went on to complete her Bachelor's in Nursing from Oakland University and then a Master's in Nursing from the University of Phoenix.
A nurse for 35 years, Lori focused her career on the care of adult medical-surgical, hemodialysis, and emergency room patients. She returned to OCC as an adjunct faculty member in 2001 and full-time faculty member in 2006. She progressively moved into greater leadership roles as Associate Dean and then Dean of Nursing and Health Professions, Dean of Campus Affairs for the Auburn Hills campus, and retiring in 2022 as OCC's Vice Chancellor of Student Services.
